Description
Hyperpyrexia, hypotension, and death have been reported with coadministration of MAO inhibitors and dextromethorphan. Concomitant administration should be avoided.
Mechanism
Increased serotonergic activity; increased incidence of extrapyramidal effects reported with phenothiazines and MAOIs
